Wedding Card Created from the Invitation

I hope this new year has started off on a positive note for you. Our calendar is filling up with all sorts of travel and fun events. One of the exciting celebrations was the marriage of my son’s childhood friend.

As usual, I took the invitation for the wedding and designed a wedding card from it. It’s always a bit tricky to decide how to create these cards, but that is part of of the fun!

This was the invitation, both front and back. Such pretty colors of dark blues, pinks, and creams.

This is the finished card I created for the newlyweds! Since we attended this wedding, I added a flower created from the back of the invitation on the envelope for an extra touch!

November Pumpkins!

November has arrived! This month is filled with pumpkins, family gatherings, turkeys, beautiful leaves, pumpkin pies, and so much more!

Many of you know how much I love scarecrows! I just had to share this one with you!

My pumpkin collection continues to grow. Three tiny crocheted pumpkins were given to me by someone very special. Aren’t they cute?

I’ve had these two ceramic pumpkins for a few years. The fallen horse figurine represents our last name- Horsefall! My husband brought it home from one of his business trips. The horse has fallen because he laughed too much! Typical for our family!

It’s time to take down the Halloween decorations, create some holiday cards, and move forward toward the end of 2017! Wow! Time passes quickly!

Remember to get your holiday cards early! I would love to create them for you!

Rocking Horse Baby Card!

It is always exciting to be able to create a special card for a new mom to be! Baby cards are my favorite type of cards to design!

Baby girl card, rocking horse, pink card, hearts

I love rocking horses! The little puffy, silk rocking horses at the bottom of this card were cut from a string of ribbon. They fit perfectly on this card, once I cut each individual rocking horse. I decided to go all out with pink; I guess I’m a bit old school on this color for girls!

I would love to create a card for you! Only $3.50 a card and you will have it in a jiffy. Contact me at horsemarkcards@gmail.com for special requests or more information.

Happy Fall!

Whether you call it Fall or Autumn, this season brings cooler weather and pumpkins! The Fall colors are some of my favorites.

I also love this cute scarecrow and wanted to share him with you today! He is so versatile as he can say Hello, Happy Birthday, Thank You, or any other greeting!

Paper Trip to Paris!

The opportunity to visit Paris has not crossed my path. Yet. I have been fortunate to have visited other places — Japan, Singapore, England and Australia, to name a few. I hope to travel to more places in the future, but for now I will stay near my zip code.

I have visited the sale aisles of several craft stores in my area though! On one such visit, I came across a selection of craft paper books that normally sell for $20 that were on special for only $5. Well, every crafty person knows you can’t pass on a deal like that! Especially when they have several selections of themed craft paper books!

These papers were purchased a few years ago and I have used many of them. Today I would like to share some handcrafted cards I designed using the Paris collection of “My Favorite Things.”

Several papers in this collection have larger images on them that can be used for scrapbook pages. Since I need smaller images on my cards, I cut out portions of these images. I also use them as backgrounds on my cards.

It feels good to use older papers that have been in my paper stash. When I see new papers I always want to get them, but then remember that I already have so many. A true case of ‘too many papers, not enough time to use them!’

Since these papers are probably out of stock, I will only be able to create one or two of these. If you know someone who loves all things ‘Paris’, I would like to create a card for them! Contact me at horsemarkcards@gmail.com for more information.
