Hello and welcome to my blog!
While browsing through my Facebook feed, I noticed that some of my favorite blogs and friends’ pages were absent. Well, this seems to be the ongoing problem with Facebook as it tries to determine what we want to see. That’s another story.
This did prompt me to switch over to my wordpress blog feed and check out some bloggers that I was also not seeing in my reader. As I began to click on blogs that I was following, I found the reason for their absence in my feed. Many bloggers were no longer blogging, or had not posted for quite some time.
Blogging takes an incredible amount of time, so I can understand why some of these blogs became dormant, or were dissolved. Most of the blogs that I followed that no longer exist were not blogs that were sponsored or produced income. I would hope they were blogging for their own personal interest and they decided to take a break or move on to something that gave them the same sense of accomplishment that inspired them to begin a blog in the first place. I will miss them, but wish them success in their new ventures.
My blog is about four years old now and I still enjoy it. Many times I have slacked in posting on a consistent schedule, but I have always come back within a short time. Sometimes a break is needed to recapture the spark of blogging , or personal life takes priority over preparing a post.
If you have a blog and are still enjoying it, I wish you well and hope it continues to give you good feelings. For those that have stopped blogging, or those that are thinking of starting a blog, I also wish you the best. Whatever one decides to do, much happiness to you!
Thank you to all the bloggers that have shared their ideas. A huge thank you and shout out to the readers that have read, liked, commented, and even follow me on my blog! I appreciate it!
Enjoy your creative day!
