Elections always seem to bring out interesting conversations.
Two men decided to make a friendly bet on an election result. I received a request from one of these men to create a card to send the winner the money that was bet.
“She sells seashells by the seashore.” This tongue-twister is about as old as the beach shores themselves! It is still a fun little vocal warm-up for theater performers. I was reminded of this twisty little phrase when I created this Sea Creatures card.
In keeping with the beach theme, I had an idea to use seashells with this card layout. I can just see this card displayed on a table or mantle in a beach house! It can also be a thank you card to a friend that let you stay at their little hut on the beach!
If you know someone who loves the beach, this birthday card would be appreciated. A thank you card would also be perfect for a person who loves seahorses and seashells.
Watching the waves on an ocean beach is such a beautiful and calming experience. Thinking of this peaceful feeling was the inspiration for these cards.
Loving the seashells and beaches made me think of the many couples who have spent time on the beaches. I know a few of these walks have resulted in marriage proposals. This love was the inspiration for this card.
Seashells and other sea critters on greeting cards have endless possibilities. I hope you agree and remember to give a card to someone you know!
Thank you for visiting today! I would love to create a card, or two, for you! Contact me at horsemarkcards@gmail.com for special requests or information.
Have you ever been to a retirement party that was very different and original? My husband and I recently attended such a party for a dear friend, Lisa. This was not your typical celebration. It had a few surprises and so much laughter, mainly due to one thing…
It involved making greeting cards!
There were several women, but the best part was seeing five men sit at a table to make 5 different greeting cards! Needless to say, it was so much fun to watch these guys try to attach tiny embellishments and fiddle with the backing of the miracle tape adhesives. You would think that using tweezers would have helped ~ well, it just added more laughs to the process!
These men had very different day jobs that may have helped them, (or not), navigate the process of making their cards. One was a chef and another man was an event supervisor. A retired TV station technician, a CEO of a food safety organization, and an event coordinator rounded out the career backgrounds of these talented men.
Card-creating party men!The men were very focused on creating the cards!
Here are some of the cards we created at this fun party! These cards were designed by my friends, Sharon and Ann. Thanks ladies for creating these great cards for us!

Thank you for retiring Lisa and bringing this great bunch of people together to enjoy way too much fun and laughs! Happy Retirement!
I thought I would share this birthday card designed with cards that I created for someone very special a couple of years ago.
Remember to give a card to the people in your life. They will appreciate it! In today’s fast paced world, receiving something in the mail that isn’t junk or a bill will certainly be opened first!
Wishing all the dads a wonderful Father’s Day! Thank you for providing positive guidance to your children and loving them for who they are. Enjoy this special day set aside to honor you!
Happy Father’s Day!
